Equinox Forum Empty
PostSubject: Equinox Forum   Equinox Forum I_icon_minitimeThu Jul 02, 2009 2:21 am

Just a reminder that we have a Guild Forum here.

The Equinox Forum has been around since pretty much the beginning of the game and has been a place which had a family feel about it, but at the moment it is rarely used. The forum contains useful information about almost all aspects of the game and was due to be deleted when Shad constructed the alliance forum. Many guild members asked for the forum to remain so we would'nt lose what some of us considered our home. The Equinox forum is basically the guilds history and some of our friends who have left still pop back occasionally.
The alliance forum is what it says, for the alliance, and this section is just a general discussion area so we can post things here privately. All the other guilds still want their own forums, although the Enclave one was deleted (a misunderstanding Rolling Eyes )and is now being reinstated as i understand it.

If you want to know what kind of things you can post about (absolutely anything as you will see) then the Equinox Forum is an excelent place to look.

Im not asking people to stop using the alliance forum, but just to continue using our own forum and start talking to each other. We have a lot of members who all play at different times and the forum is the best way of talking to one another.
At the moment the guild is split 3 ways, ppl who use the Equinox Forum and Alliance Forum who are a minority, ppl who use only the Alliance Forum and those who don't use any. Ppl need to be encouraged to join both forums, if they don't then they lose the chance to voice their opinion as most decisions guild or otherwise are generally made on the forums.

People need to remember that there are specific sections for posting things and should'nt post them elsewhere where it will be missed. If you wish to talk to somebody privately then there is a Private Messaging facility on the forums, i use it to speak to Shad or to call Karnarak (lo fatty!) names Razz

Guild Officers
Both forums have officer sections and both are underused and underrated. Start using them! It solves the problem of communication for when officers are offline and its also somewhere private where you can discuss things. The Equinox Officers lounge is ideal for things that the rest of the alliance don't need to know, whilst the Alliance Officers section is the best place for alliance issues or talking to other GL/Officers. Certain guild issues should not be posted where everybody can see them as its not just the alliance who read these forums. People can and will take advantage if they know that a guild is having trouble. Equinox is a casual guild and we have always discussed openly the things which concern the entire guild , if you look through some of the older posts on the guild forum you will see just that. If you do'nt read/use the forums then you have no say in guild issues and can only blame yourself if you feel that you have issues which nobody is helping you with as ingame ppl can be too busy to help for various reasons.

Just remember that a forum is permanent and what is said will not be forgotten and can be read and replied to at any time of the day. It is a useful tool where you can ask for advice or share things with others and even have a laugh Shocked Keep posts in the relevant sections and above all don't be afraid to post. Very Happy
