Hello fellow Equinox member!

You are probably reading this because you have the interest to join the Equinox guild.

The Equinox guild has been around almost since the game started.
We were founded on the server called Finuval Plains which unfortunately went dead after a while. The guild managed to survive through a transfer to Dragonback Mountains.
This server was thriving for a long period but finally went dead since destro got too powerful and farmed order on a daily basis in altdorf. Order left and we faced a new transfer.
This time to Karak Eight Peaks. We sure are persistent buggers and have been having a GREAT atmosphere.
Though at this very moment we are having some disturbances due to vacations, big patches and changes in gameplay/quality and also leadership issues.
This is under development and you will find a guild in change and YOU will also have a great opportunity to shape the environment which you play in!

The guild is a mix of hardcores and casual players. This can sometimes lead to problems unforseen. Lack of understandings/communication towards each other. But if we just keep a friendly face and understand that he or she which you are arguing with right now have a different set of goals i think you will get on fine.

The basic and also the BIGGEST rule of the guild is friendlyness. No matter its to your guildies, the alliance, other guilds or even to order players. We want to have a kind face on the battlefield. Though general understanding of peoples behavior lets us know the occasional outbreak might occur when faced with hard and frustrating situations Razz

2: Have fun

3: Make sure you are not spoiling the fun for anyone else by not showing up for calendar events, calling them names, bullying them or actively giving the guild a bad reputation for the players in it.
All the small things counts in order to keep a thriving atmosphere going.

4: There is examples existing for grudges due to some ppl not being on vent, when others are. If you end up in a party/warband with hardcore members, be prepared to come online on ventrilo if you want to participate in their success. Hardcores should also know to inform newcomers to this warband that ventrilo is manatory. This to prevent any unexpected warband kicks.
This understanding is expected to be both ways. """Even if you are not hardcore Ventrilo is a VERY powerful tool to enhance your gameplay. Even if you dont have a microphone. It makes it so much easier to check what is going on and it also contributes to getting to know your fellow alliance buddies a bit more.
Though not mandatary, Ventrilo is VERY RECOMMENDED as many are using it and you might miss out on a lot of information. If you are shy you do not have to speak. If you are using vent listening is good enough Smile

5:Signing up for a dungeon run and not showing up without no notification prior to the date/leaving an instance for no good reason will give you a special title for some time called "CALENDAR BANNED". This title and rank does not have permissions to sign up for calendar events, use guild vault and not talk in alliance chat. When the penalty is removed you will recieve your previous title/rank/permissions. This rule NEEDS to be taken SERIOUSLY since we have often been left with lockouts from dungeons and no new gear to us in order to advance in the game because of people leaving/not showing up. Breaking this rule is taken very seriously.
6:Use good judgement. Not showing a good judgement can sometimes be a small issue, sometimes a big one. A lack of judgement can in some rare cases be enough reason to have a serious talk. Or even a guild kick though no solid rule has been broken. Only one guild kick for not behaving has been made throughout my history with the guild so i do not think this will be a problem.

7: A command from an officer is final. Stirring the pot and talking behind backs of officers will lead to kicks. If you have a problem with a descicion being made from an officer. Contact the current guild leader, ]Archangelin or the Social officer Mallec. Once again, act with a good judgement.

8: Use of the forum is enforced. The forum is a BRILLIANT tool for gathering information. Not all members can be online at all times. The forum is a good tool to see what is currently going on. Do not be afraid to make posts about anything really.

9: Inactivity: We tend to get big in numbers all the time. Having alts and all in the guild. The officers and members agreed to a solution to this. Just a guideline, not to be written in stone.
For member or alt at rank 1-20 there is a 7 day inactivity removal. For rank 20-30 there is a 1 month inactivity removal. For 30-40 there is a 2 month inactivity removal. If you for some reason foresee your inactivity, make sure to edit your MEMBER notes so that we can see what is going on if we are looking into the membership of that character in particular.
If you start to play your alt or char again you are most welcome to be reinvited. Then the inactivity timer resets.

10: Follow any additional rules that might appear here Razz
